In particular, iwdglobal.com is aimed at the managerial teams of market research institutes and consultancy firms.

As a member of iwdglobal.com you will have access to a global community, enabling you to offer your institute’s services and to submit bids in response to invitations to tender for new projects. In effect, Iwdglobal.com gives you the opportunity to create invitations to tender for market research services in over 100 countries around the world. So, you can move your institute forward onto a more internationalised level straightaway, with no investment whatsoever.

(In the "My Account" box) Click on the "Register" link and fill in the registration form (this will only take two minutes). Important note: The e-mail address you specify on this registration form will also be your member name. Immediately following your registration a confirmation message will be sent to your e-mail address. Please confirm your registration by clicking on the link contained in the e-mail. You are now a registered member of iwdglobal.com; you can use all services free of charge, submit bids for existing invitations to tender and create your own invitations to tender.

Once you have registered and are logged in, you can edit all the information you provided at registration, and change it if necessary, via the “My Personal Profile” link. If your company has a website address we strongly recommend that you provide it. This is not a mandatory field, but a website address is helpful when it comes to validating your registration. However, if you do not have a website address you can still register without any problem.

(In the "My Account" box) Click on the "My Company Profile/Filter" link; a form now appears where you can enter your company’s details. The regions and countries you select will determine which countries you will receive invitations to tender from. The same applies to the methods. For example, if your institute offers CATI surveys and you select CATI as a method on the form, you will receive all invitations to tender for CATI surveys from the countries you have specified. An e-mail will be sent to your nominated e-mail account, notifying you of all newly published invitations to tender. Important note: If you select all countries and all methods, you will receive an e-mail notification of every invitation to tender created via iwdglobal.com. It is better, therefore, to fill in the company profile according to the services you actually offer; this will ensure you receive precisely those invitations to tender that will be of interest to you and your company.

Fill in all fields on the company profile/filter form correctly. Information relating to references and association memberships may be crucial when the client comes to select the successful bidder. If you have a company presentation in .pdf or .ppt format, simply upload it onto your profile via “Upload Document”. This information may also prove decisive in terms of awarding contracts.

(In the "Party Submitting a Tender" box) Irrespective of your company profile you can always view all invitations to tender which are currently active and submit bids for them. If you want to see an overview of all current invitations to tender, click on "View All Tenders". A table appears with a list of all invitations to tender and the relevant key information. If you want to find out more about a particular invitation to tender, just click on the corresponding row and you will see a full overview including project-specific information; you will also have the opportunity to submit your bid and any additional information at the bottom of the page. Furthermore, you can find out here which iwdglobal.com project manager created the invitation to tender and is responsible for editing it.

You do not have to be registered in order to view the invitations to tender. Of course, you must be registered if you want to submit a bid though, otherwise we would not know who had submitted the bid. You will need to be logged in if you want to create your own invitation to tender too, as all services can only be implemented in conjunction with your contact details.

(In the "Party Submitting a Tender" box) If you do not want to view all invitations to tender, just those for a particular country or method, you can set the country and/or method as a filter under "Search Tenders". Then only the invitations to tender which match the filter criteria are displayed.

You will be informed via e-mail of any current invitation to tender that matches your company profile/filter. This e-mail will contain a link which will take you directly to the invitation to tender in question. If you are interested in submitting a bid you can enter your price straightaway, at the bottom of the invitation to tender form. If you are unable to do this, please check that you are registered and logged in. Of course, iwdglobal.com can only accept prices from registered users; otherwise we would not know who had submitted the bid.

(In the “Party Submitting a Tender” box) Click on “Search Tenders” and click the relevant invitation to tender in order to view its details. You have now opened the detail view of a current invitation to tender. Here you can see information relating to the content of the invitation to tender itself, as well as a deadline for the tendering process. Please enter your bid at the bottom of the invitation to tender. You cannot submit your bid later via e-mail or telephone. At the bottom of the invitation to tender form you will find the fields for entering your bid price. Select the required currency and enter your bid. If you want to submit additional information for this invitation to tender, enter this in the corresponding field underneath the price field.

The prices you submit will not be published; they can only be viewed by the responsible iwdglobal.com project manager.

Once you have submitted a bid, confirmation of the same will be sent to your personal iwdglobal.com inbox. The responsible project manager will now check the received bids. When it comes to awarding contracts not only the price, but also references and qualifications are taken into account. The lowest bidder will not automatically win the contract. All members who have submitted bids for the invitation to tender in question will be informed of the final decision.

The contract will be awarded in writing by IWD market research GmbH in Germany.

Enter the date on which you need to receive the final proposal from iwdglobal.com here. Please ensure that you allow sufficient time for the invitation to tender to be published, for members to submit their bids and for IWD to create the final proposal. Please also note that projects in different time zones will require more time, as allowances must be made for time differences.

Now enter the key data into the form. If you do not have any further information or requirements you can send the invitation to tender to iwdglobal.com straightaway. Otherwise, under “Advanced Settings” you can add a range of project-specific information relating to your invitation to tender. The fields on the form are just suggestions and only need to be filled in as required. None of the fields is mandatory. If the suggested fields on the form do not meet your needs, you can enter your information in the blank input fields or you can upload a document.

The invitation to tender you have created is sent to the iwdglobal.com team; it is not published directly. An appropriate project manager (a market researcher with many years of experience in international market research) will phone you within the next few hours. This telephone conversation will be held in English. If you do not wish to be contacted by phone, please make a note in the blank field on the invitation to tender that you would prefer to be contacted via e-mail.

If you need various different methods to be used in your project, please create a separate invitation to tender for each method. In the blank input field on your invitation to tender please make a note of the other invitations to tender that belong to the same overall project.

As soon as you have confirmed your invitation to tender with the iwdglobal.com project manager and all issues relating to the project have been clarified, your invitation to tender will be published anonymously. No invitations to tender published via iwdglobal.com contain any information about the members who created them.

Shortly after consulting with you, iwdglobal.com publishes your invitation to tender on the online portal www.iwdglobal.com. Members whose company profiles match your invitation to tender, i.e. institutes whose portfolios of services correspond to your invitation to tender, are immediately notified of your invitation to tender via e-mail and invited to submit a bid. All other interested members can view your invitation to tender under "View All Tenders".

The deadline published for the end of the invitation to tender is a few hours earlier than your required deadline for the submission of a proposal. This gives the iwdglobal.com project manager sufficient time to sort through, validate and assess all the received bids and to create a proposal for you on the basis of this information.

The party submitting the proposal for your invitation to tender is the international market research institute IWD market research GmbH, which has its headquarters in Germany. You will receive a proposal containing all contract-specific information, such as services, price, payment terms and general terms and conditions.

You have the right to reject the proposal at any time up until the contract is awarded by IWD.
